Example 1: Liwat

Waray Sentence English Translation
Katápus, pinamútus hit dáhun hin ságing ngan ginlúlurutuq na liwat. Then it’s wrapped up in banana leaves and cooked again.
Pirupilyu liwat at nga bátaq. That child was rather mischievous, wasn’t he?
Bákay kay Amirikánu ka, gindubli liwat níya an iya prisyu. Just because you’re an American, he doubled the (lit. his) price.

Ádaq man in bungtu. Álin na itu? There’s a town. Is that Allen?
Mánu, salámat na laq. Maydaq ku man ngayqan sinsilyu. Thanks anyway, sir. I see I have the change.

Ay, didtu ak kan balay han akun sangkay. Oh, I was at my friend’s house.
  • On, at [with days of the week] -> Han
  • At, on [past time] -> Han
