Does BlackBoard have a Wiki feature?
From BbWiki
Yes. A wiki is a tool which allows groups of people to collaborate on a web project. One of the largest and best examples of a wiki is "Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia".
You can use the "Wiki Tool" (also called Teams) to create one or several wikis within your course. A wiki for the entire class is available by default in the Tools area, or can be linked from the navigation menu; multiple wikis for individual or group projects can be added within any Blackboard content area. It is easy to add images, audio and video to the wiki.
Create a wiki linked from the navigation menu:
- Open the control panel
- Select manage course menu
- Add a Tool Link
- Select the tool Wiki Tool
- Next, enter the name you wish students
to see on the navigation menu (i.e. "wiki",
"class writing project")
- Click the Submit button
Create a wiki linked from a content area:
- Open the control panel
- Select the content area you wish to put the wiki in
- Find the Selecttool on the right side of the gray bar toward the top of your Blackboard window.
- Select the tool Wiki
- Click the go button
- A new page comes up, asking a number of questions about your site. Answer the questions as desired.
- Click the Submit button
