Yes, Blackboard has a built-in anti-plagiarism tool called SafeAssign. This tool (similar to another called TurnItIn) allows instructors or students to submit text that is compared against web searches and database resources. The SafeAssign algorithm reports the percent similarity of the submitted text to matching documents as a possible indication of plagiarism.
