How do I copy some or all content from one course to another?

You can copy all or part of one Blackboard course to another Blackboard course.

If you want to move most or all of a course, you can export the old course and import into the new course.

  1. Go to the course where the content you want to copy resides.
  2. Go into the Control Panel and Export Course
  3. Select desired export items and submit
  4. Wait for an email that says the export is ready.
  5. Go back to the Control Panel and Export Course. You can now download the zip file (right-click or control-click to download linked file to your desktop or download folder).
  6. Go to the course where you want to add this content.
  7. Go into the Control Panel and Import Package. Browse for your export file.
  8. Select what you want to Import and Submit.
  9. Go back to the navigation menu of the course and click Refresh

If you want to move a few content items from one course to another, use the copy option in your Content area.

  1. Go to the course where the content you want to copy resides.
  2. Navigate to the content item you wish to copy.
  3. Click Edit
  4. Next to each content item you see several options. Click Copy.
  5. You get a window asking you for the destination course. From here, select the course where you want to add the content.
  6. Browse for the destination folder where you want the copy.
  7. Click the Submit button.
  8. Go to the course where you just added this content.
  9. From the navigation menu of the course and click Refresh
