Setting A Color Scheme

Blackboard gives you the ability to customize several aspects of your course page's appearance. One of these is the color scheme.

Go to your course's Control Panel. Look for the Course Options box in the lower left-hand corner.

Click Settings > Course Design > Course Design

In the second section of this page, you can select background and text colors for your navigation menu. Click Pick and select a color from the palette. Click Submit to see your new color scheme.

Customizing links

In the course Control Panel, choose Content Areas > External Links.

Here you can add the External Link. Type the name, URL, and description (if desired).

You can attach another document in section 2, or just go down to the Options section.

In Options, choose Yes to make external link visible. Choose either Yes or No to: open in new window, track number of views, and add metadata. You can limit the time period the link is available, or just leave that blank.

Click Submit when finished.
