Team Predicted Deflection (5N) Measured Deflection (5N) Ratio
F 1.45 mm 1.83 mm 0.79
G 0.75 mm 1.50 mm 0.55
H 1.05 mm 1.15 mm 0.91
J 1.20 mm 1.87 mm 0.64
K 0.90 mm 2.00 mm 0.45
L 0.65 mm 1.28 mm 0.51
P 0.975 mm 2.45 mm 0.40
Q 0.985 mm 2.45 mm 0.68
R 0.96 mm 1.86 mm 0.52
Mickey Mouse 3.1 mm 3.3 mm 0.95

The ratio between calculated and measured deflections has an average of 0.69 (with a standard deviation of 0.22). The number used for the Young's modulus of the ABS plastic was 2.0 GPa. Since measured deflections were consistently higher than calculated (by a factor of 0.69) a Young's modulus of 2*0.69=1.38 GPa would be more accurate.
