Female and minority economists have made significant contributions to the field of economics in an array of areas, from finance to economic governance. Profiles of a few of these economists are listed here. Please feel free to post your favorite economists on this page.
- 2012 NEA Westerfield Award winner, William A. (Sandy) Darity Jr.
- 2009 Nobel Prize winner, Elinor Ostrom.
- President of the American Economic Association, Claudia Goldin, the Henry Lee Professor of Economics at Harvard University.
- Dean of the Woodrow Wilson School, Princeton University, Cecilia Rouse, the Lawrence and Shirley Katzman and Lewis and Anna Ernst Professor in the Economics of Education.
