This keyboard is heavily based on the standard Russian keyboard. Our rationale for this is that Russian and Even both use cyrillic with only two characters differing. This makes it very convenient, as most Even speakers are also Russian speakers so they are already familiar with the layout. However, this also has unfortunate implications in that as it is based on Russian, it tends toward colonialism. However, this keyboard is primarily meant for. use within this  class, so we chose to continue on with our original keyboard layout.

Justification

This keyboard is heavily based on the standard Russian keyboard. Our rationale for this is that Russian and Even both use cyrillic with only two characters differing. This makes it very convenient, as most Even speakers are also Russian speakers so they are already familiar with the layout. However, this also has unfortunate implications in that as it is based on Russian, it tends toward colonialism. However, this keyboard is primarily meant for use within this class, so we chose to continue on with our original keyboard layout.
