Installation

To use the keyboard download the file from the github repository and put it in the ~/.m17n.d directory.

We referenced the freely available Russian keyboard from the m17n Ibus directory and modified it.

Justification

This keyboard is heavily based on the standard Russian keyboard. Our rationale for this is that Russian and Even both use cyrillic with only two characters differing.

• Convenient bc russian is very similar
• this would mean this keyboard is familiar to use
• unfortunate implications for basing it off russian (colonialism)
• Primarily meant for use in this class is why we're going with it anyway
