Summertime targets from Rich Townsend (June 2009) Ap/Bp stars - chemically peculiar with strong magnetic fields

CU Vir (HD 124224) -- short period, quite bright, the best-known 'stellar pulsar' (main sequence star with ~0.5d pulsed radio emission).

V 2052 Oph (163472), which is a combination beta Cep/He-strong B2 star with a 3.64d period. Again, quite bright.
